Is the "How" a Goal will come into your life important & "Obstacles"...do you appreciate them?

Resolution - What does that mean to you?

Commitment? Being firm & determined? Resolve, a promise, a decision to do/not do something?

A Goal - A Result

And once made, do you surrender to the "How"? "How" it's going to happen, "how" it's going to come about, "how" it will show up in your life?

Like we do with a S.M.A.R.T. Goal, once created, set and placed in our Time Line, we don't care about the "How". (Btw, we do this with our Coaching Clients and at our Designing Your Destiny weekend events).

Do we make a Plan - Yes!

Do we Action it - Yes!

For most, do they surrender the "How" it's going to Exactly come into their life - nope!

The Universe will determine the "how", this is called surrendering to the attachment to the goal.

It's like mailing a letter, once you've dropped it in the box, you expect that it will be delivered. You don't necessarily know all the different people involved along the way, the actual route that the truck takes, etc. etc. etc. But you did your part, you made the Plan and wrote the letter/card, bought the stamp, addressed it, opened the mailbox and put it in.

Just stay focused on the Plan and Action it.

Obstacles, you know those obstacles that you usually run into on the way to your goal, well I believe that's the Universe assisting us. Those obstacles provide us with the opportunity to pick up the much needed resources that we hadn't thought about before that we'll need to get to our goal.

Instead of saying to yourself, (with drama), "Oh I guess it just wasn't meant to be" and giving up. Realize that these obstacles have gifts, they're called "Awareness", be thankful and adjust the Plan.

With these "Awareness's'", you realize that there's other Resources/Skills that you don't currently have but you need them if you want to achieve your goal.

Think about it, "if you never got the Awareness's how would you know that you needed something , would you ever move forward?

Ok, so you identify what you need, adjust the Plan and go and get these Resources/Skills.

Now, you can Manage your results and achieve your Goals.

My Christmas Story - A Little Early but Actually 23 Years Overdue!

I've got a funny and very cool story to tell you of something that happened to me recently.

A few weeks ago, (Oct. 14), I was meeting with my Coach. We were catching up and I mentioned that I had an issue that I wanted to work on as it was getting worse every year.

Issue was, I hated Christmas! I know. I never use that "h" word but here I was using it.

As I explained, I was at a point where I had roped my niece and nephew into coming over on the pretense of helping Aunt Glenda decorate. I had given all my wrapping paper and ribbon away to my Mom and my Daughter and would only throw the obligatory presents in bags and cover with tissue. The last 3 years my Mother and my Sister couldn't stand it and had resorted to putting my Christmas tree up and then I was stuck with having to take it down and put it away.

I hadn't always been like this I said, it had happened I guess over the 20 year relationship that I'd had with a fellow that despised the holiday season and we'd fight leading up to it and for a few months after when the bills came in. You see he was raised in a home where it was a good year when he received a comb and a pair of socks because most years he didn't get anything.

I remembered loving Christmas, my Mom would lock herself away downstairs, with Elvis singing Blue Christmas, and draw and decorate with sparkles our presents...they were beautiful. Later when I was a single Mother, each mid November I put out a decoration, then a couple of days later another, and then another, building the anticipation and excitement for me and my daughter.

Well my Coach proceeded to do a technique with me called Linguistic Parts Integration which I teach to my students and utilize with my clients.

When done she asks me how I feel about Christmas now, I answered, "I won't know until I go and do something."

I know that you'll never know how something is going to feel until you just go and do it.

Well two days later I was at the mall and happened by the Bowring store. I spied a silver and crystal sparkling sleigh (table centerpiece). Checked the price and said excitedly, "I'll take two!"

So my girlfriend comes over for supper, I tell her my Christmas story and I proudly show off my sleigh and then said wait, (I go down into the basement) I want to show you some of my stuff.

The next thing I know, I'm bringing up all these buckets and buckets of Christmas paraphernalia - and I'm getting my friend to put all the batteries in "Santa and the Skaters" and the "Carousel" the "Gumdrop House", etc., we went through 36 AA and AAA's!

I said to her, I can't believe I'm doing this, it's not even Halloween yet, this is crazy! We laughed!

Linguistic Parts Integration is a very powerful tool and is believed to be one of the most powerful of the Neuro Linguistic Programming tools.

So what is Parts Integration?

It is a linguistic inductive process and a chunk up technique, used with clients that have a particular difficult conflict at the unconscious level.

All problems are contained in a "part" and all parts are part of the unconscious mind that have become functionally detached from the rest of the nervous system and they block the flow of neuro network information, which causes incongruency.

In a nutshell, when you hear yourself or someone else say, "well, part of me really wants to do blank and part of me wants to do the opposite of blank". There's a behaviour conflict at the unconscious level, an incongruent behaviour.

Have you ever found yourself postponing decisions because one part within you says yes and another part, which may be self-doubt or fear, keeps you from actually doing anything?

It uses a lot of energy to try and resolve our inner conflict or just try to keep and maintain a balance in our lives. It can drain us an stress us out.

Behaviour that is incongruent can hold you back from reaching your full potential.

Parts Integration is a scripted process which essentially separates intention from behaviour and by getting the parts to realize that they both always had the same highest intention, allows the previously conflicted part to merge back into the wholeness inside and conflict resolved.

The process from start to finish can be as short at 5 and as long as 15 minutes! Pain and drama-free.

So what if you could simply get rid of all the conflicts and put that extra energy into getting your goals!

Isn't it funny, how the simplest job can turn into an "Ah-ha"!

This afternoon while cutting the grass I decided to cut it on the diagonal and after the first pass, it was crookeder' (yep that's a word I just made up) than a dog's hind leg!

Giggling to myself, I thought, wow what happened there. So I made another pass halfway down the centre of the first trying to straighten it out. Ok. Next pass, ended up just as crooked as the first.

Alright, what's going on I ask myself? Then I realize that I've been focusing on the ground just in front of the wheels of the lawn mower and think, that's what's going on - just like goal setting, you need to keep your eyes focused on the end result and course correct as needed.

We teach about goal setting in our weekend events, which is drastically different than the usual malarkey. I know, as I've been an unsatisfied participant at more than one of those in my time.

What I love about our S.M.A.R.T. goal setting, is that it actually works!

Why not bring your passions into reality by reconnecting to them; make more money, have better health, better relationships?

We assist each person in determining what they truly want to achieve; in the one area of their life that's most out of alignment and that when they get their goal, it will have the biggest impact.

S: Specific, Simple
M: Measurable, Meaningful to You
A: As if now, Achievable, All areas of Your Life
R: Realistic, Responsible/Ecological
T: Timed, Toward What You Want

Making sure that is stated simply, achievable while being a stretch, that it's good for them, that it has action steps in it and it has a date stamp on it. Together we quantum charge it and put it in the persons timeline.

It's always rewarding to hear back from our participants that because of our trainings they achieved their goals and in the process their lives changed for the better!

The Steak Day & Raw Tomato! 180 lb. (-4 lb)

Well that certainly worked and corrected the + 1 lb, in fact it took 3 more pounds with it :)

Maintenance Phase 'til Sept 1

184 lb I'm over the 2 lb limit, so here comes the "Steak Day"

The following is from Dr. Simeons Book "Pounds & Inches":

As long as their weight stays within two pounds of the weight reached on the day of the last HCG Drops, patients should take no notice of any increase but the moment the scale goes beyond two pounds, even if this is only a few ounces, they must on that same day entirely skip breakfast and lunch but take plenty to drink. In the evening they must eat a huge steak with only an apple or a raw tomato. Of course this rule applies only to the morning weight. Ex-obese patients should never check their weight during the day, as there may be wide fluctuations and these are merely alarming and confusing. It is of utmost importance that the meal is skipped on the same day as the scale registers an increase of more than two pounds and that missing the meals is not postponed until the following day. If a meal is skipped on the day in which a gain is registered in the morning this brings about an immediate drop of often over a pound. But if the skipping of the meal - and skipping means literally skipping, not just having a light meal - is postponed the phenomenon does not occur and several days of strict dieting may be necessary to correct the situation.

Ok! I'm deciding that I'll do the Steak Day to correct the weight gain of 3 lbs.

I haven't done this before. There was one day, which I wrote about on July 25, where I missed the opportunity to utilize the Steak Day.

So for today, it's tons' of tea and water 'til supper.

180.5 lb Steady as she goes!

Just back from 6 days in the States and did my best to follow the program.

There's nothing that can hold a candle to Neuro Linguistic Programming and Time Line Therapy (TM) for permanent change.

That's one of the reasons that I love what I do, assisting people in making change so that they get the results that they want, whether it's in Career, Relationship, Finance, Personal Growth, you name it.

Stable Day #20 - 178.5 lb (-2.5 from weight set point)

Oops! I'm 0.5 under the 2 lb limit of either 2 lb above 181 or 2 lb below. I didn't eat enough yesterday obviously.

Was up at the cottage Fri to Mon where we had a 50th BD bash for my brothers Jeff & Jamie. Lots of eating and laughs. Not everything on the menu was allowed for me but I was able to pick and choose from the mountains of food being served.

I had very supportive and positive feedback from my family in regards to my weight loss success and this blog. A comment was made about not quite understanding the lingo, such as NLP and HCG.

Will do better to be clearer and to add complete pages for each of these.

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP): NLP is a model of communication – how we communicate to self and others – and how that communication creates and affects our behaviour.

As a study, it is a synthesis of cognitive and behavioural philosophies which focus on the information coming in through the neurology (cognitive) and the programs we run inside our heads to produce the behaviours (behavioural) we do.

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG): HCG is a polypeptide protein that exists in every tissue in the human body in tiny amounts. When a woman becomes pregnant her body produces high quantities of this which aides in supplying nutrition for the baby.

HCG helps break down and mobilize "abnormal fat" cells so they can be used by your body for energy and appetite suppression during the very low calorie (VLCD) phase of the diet.
